Walhalla Gold Mine
Take a tour of what was one of the world's richest gold mines. The Walhalla Long
Tunnel Extended Gold Mine features 8.5 kilometres of underground workings extending to a
depth of over 1000 metres. See the authentic and original workings of a gold mine that was
world famous in its day.

Morwell National Park
Morwell National Park is a small, but important area of forest where you can see the original
vegetation and wildlife of this part of Gippsland. The park contains picnic areas and many walking
tracks, ranging from an easy stroll to a more energetic walk in the steeper parts of the park.

PowerWorks
The Latrobe Valley region produces 85% of the electricity requirements of Victoria. Visit the
PowerWorks Energy Technology Centre before taking a tour of one of the three open cut
coal mines and one of the power stations currently operating in the Latrobe Valley.

Morwell Centenary Rose Garden
If you like roses, you'll love the Morwell Centenary Rose Garden. The garden contains
over 250 varieties of roses. More than 3000 rose bushes are planted through four acres of
parkland. Always open and free to enter.
